The goal of REACH is to empower those on the ASD spectrum with independent living and social skills, physical activity and fun. The classes are held Saturday afternoons at the Y’s facility on Southwood Drive. A "school dance" class will soon be added. The Shanbrom Family Foundation grant also supports financial assistance for ASD families to join the Y in order to access all of the Y’s fitness membership benefits, which include full gym, racquetball, swimming and 54 classes per week. No family left behind.
For more information about the Y and REACH, go to www.sloymca.org or call the Y: (805) 543-8235. For information about The Shanbrom Family Foundation, please contact Bob Shanbrom and Xiaoping Cheng at shanbrom@aol.com.
Your contribution of $1,200 (or more) sets you among the YMCA’s leaders. Through the President's Club, your gift will be used to provide financial assistance and inspire bigger and brighter achievements in our community.
The YMCA is in need of many products and services. If you have something to share, please give us a call. If we can't use it, we'll work with other agencies to ensure it's put to go use.
Many employers and organizations offer matching gifts. Be sure to inquire whether you can double the impact of your gift with a match from your company or organization.

By choosing Heart to Heart Real Estate, a homebuyer or seller invokes real change, by directly contributing to a charity that is near and dear to their own heart. Heart to Heart's goal is to create a greater network of giving and to show how real change in a community is possible; they do this by donating 50% of their commissions to a philanthropic cause chosen by the client. Heart to Heart has been helping homebuyers and sellers on the Central Coast since 2013. Agents Mark McConnell and Liz Lee bring 30 years knowledge and expertise to their clients, while giving them the opportunity to give back.
When you give to the Y, you are funding life-changing programs that help thousands of children, adults and families in San Luis Obispo County to learn, grow and thrive..
