Giving Tuesday

Now more than ever we are called to make a difference.

The Butler County Family YMCA is inviting you to join us as we participate in Giving Tuesday on December 1, 2020! Now more than ever, we are relying on members, neighbors, and community partners to support us as we continue to empower local kids, families, seniors, and veterans through our memberships and programs. Here are a few things we’re doing right now to support our neighbors in Butler County:

Staying Engaged

  • Our team checks in daily with our senior members to ensure their health and safety. If a member is in need of anything, from cookies to a microwave, we’re here to answer the call.
  • Our youth mentoring Reach and Rise® groups continue to (virtually) meet every week! Whether show-and-tell, arts and crafts, or special conversation, it is crucial these young people have a routine to help promote a sense of normalcy.

  • On May 15th, together with the American Red Cross, we’re hosting blood drives at our Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA.
  • We’re connecting with businesses, organizations, and clubs throughout Butler County to learn how we can best assist their efforts in providing food for Butler County families. We’re actively organizing our own food drive to help offset the growing need in our communities.

Providing the Resources You Need

  • Virtual Y: With new content added daily, this newly launched aspect of the YMCA has taken our organization to the next level. We’re offering Facebook Live workouts, ZOOM Group Exercise classes, education resources and activities for families, and so much more! Check it out here.

Help us make a differnce in our community.

Donate Now

I would like to thank you for your support of the Butler YMCA. Over the course of one year, I lost my job and had a medical emergency that left me unable to return to the workforce for now. Because of your donation, I am able to have a membership at the Y.

Thank you very much, it has made a significant difference in my life.

I have never written a thank you letter before, so I'm not really sure how to go about this. I do want you to understand the impact this will have on my life. In the past few years, I have struggled with my mental health. I lost my older brother to addiction in the early months of 2017... I developed my own drug and alcohol addiction and struggled with homelessness. I'm finally away from the drugs and alcohol. I'm starting to get my life together again. To me, this gym membership is almost a symbol of new beginnings. It will not only help keep me on the right track, but help me improve my overall health. I was feeling stuck and now I feel like I have a fighting chance. It was made possible because of you.

Much Love.

Signed, a forever grateful 23 year old woman
